Bucking Bronco
Overview
The 2005 Texas Silver Dollar – Texas Bronc was issued as part of the Texas Silver Dollar Collection, made by The Texas Mint & Mercantile, Whitney TX, continuing the annual program that highlighted Texas heritage through modern private-mint silver rounds. The Texas Bronc design reflects the state’s ranching and rodeo traditions, reinforcing the western themes central to the broader Texas Dollar program. The reverse continues the standardized Texas Dollar format centered on the Lone Star motif.
Story of the Texas Bronc
“2005 Texas Bronc Silver Dollar. The 2005 Texas Silver Dollar is our tribute to the great bronc buster. This tradition started on the ranches and later gave birth to what we all know as the modern rodeo. These cowboys and cowponies are still going strong in Texas today.” – Rick Pinner
