The Texas Stacker documents private-mint silver and gold coinage from across Texas — a category of numismatics that's often overlooked by mainstream coin guides but has a rich, distinct history of its own. Private mints, credit unions, banks, and local businesses across the state have issued silver rounds, trade tokens, and commemorative medallions since the 1970s, many tied to specific Texas events, institutions, or regional pride: the Alamo, the Republic of Texas, Dallas and Houston-area mints, and one-off releases from now-defunct issuers.
