The Texas Stacker is a Texas numismatic researcher focused on documenting private mint silver and gold rounds issued throughout Texas history.
A sixth-generation Texan, The Texas Stacker’s family established roots in San Augustine, Texas in 1844, prior to Texas joining the United States and a true “Texian”. That lineage—formed during the final years of the Republic of Texas—anchors the mission and philosophy behind Texas Stacker LLC: history matters, provenance matters, and Texas deserves to have its numismatic story told accurately and completely.

Mission
Preserving Texas’ heritage through numismatics.
Texas Stacker LLC exists to preserve and document Texas numismatic history through accurate research, transparency, and archival organization. The goal is not merely to catalog coins, but to clarify the historical record surrounding privately issued Texas silver and gold rounds.
Texas bullion history reflects entrepreneurship, regional identity, and commemorative culture. Preserving that history ensures that future collectors and researchers understand both the coins and the context in which they were created.
What We Do
Texas Stacker LLC operates across three integrated pillars:
1. Documenting Texas Numismatic History
The company conducts original research into Texas coinage and medallic art, with a focus on under-documented private mints, regional issuers, and historically significant series. Projects are built using primary sources, contemporary documentation, physical examination, and long-form analysis.
A leading example is The Texas Mint project, which brings clarity and documentation to modern Texas bullion programs that previously lacked authoritative historical treatment.

Research Methodology
The Texas Stacker approaches numismatic research through primary-source documentation wherever possible. Corporate filings, period advertisements, state press releases, mint mark analysis, die comparisons, and firsthand interviews form the foundation of attribution. When documentation is incomplete, conclusions are clearly labeled as provisional and supported by evidence.
Private mint bullion issues often lack centralized archival records. For that reason, research requires cross-referencing state filings, dealer advertisements, and surviving specimen characteristics to establish production origin and program structure.
Standards of Attribution
Every coin and set documented on this site is evaluated using consistent attribution standards. Mint marks are not assumed. “Official” designations are examined against historical documentation. Production claims are separated from marketing language.
Where possible, oral history interviews and direct communication with original issuers are incorporated into the research record. Attribution is based on evidence, not repetition.
2. Vintage Texas Silver & Gold
Texas Stacker LLC curates and offers vintage Texas-themed silver and gold, selected for historical relevance as much as precious-metal content. Emphasis is placed on:
- Private Texas mints
- Historic commemoratives and medals
- Scarce regional bullion
- Provenance-supported issues tied to Texas history
Each item is evaluated as a historical artifact—not merely a commodity.

3. The Texas Stackers (Original Silver Rounds)
Texas Stacker LLC also produces original silver rounds known as The Texas Stackers. These modern bullion issues are designed to honor Texas history, symbolism, and identity, with the intent that they stand as legitimate future collectibles rooted in authenticity, craftsmanship, and documentation.

TheTexasStacker.com
TheTexasStacker.com serves as both a public research archive and a commercial platform. The site is designed to:
- Share documented Texas numismatic history
- Publish research-driven articles and reference material
- Offer curated vintage Texas silver and gold
- Introduce and support The Texas Stackers bullion series
The site prioritizes transparency, citation, high-quality imagery, and long-form content over speculation or novelty.
Historical Lineage & Preservation
The Texas Stacker is in the process of joining the Sons of the Republic of Texas, an organization dedicated to preserving the history of the Republic of Texas and recognizing Texians—individuals whose families lived in Texas prior to statehood in 1846.
This historical connection reinforces the guiding principle behind Texas Stacker LLC: Texas history should be preserved with accuracy, respect, and permanence.
