Global Monetary Reserve Overview
Global Monetary Reserve LLC (GMR) was a Texas-based precious metals and numismatic firm operating from The Woodlands, Texas. The company marketed precious metals for investment and numismatic collecting and served as the commercial partner and distributor for the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation commemorative precious-metals program beginning in 2015.
GMR should not currently be classified as a mint or manufacturer. Available contemporary documentation establishes its role in announcing, marketing, preselling, packaging, and distributing the Chris Kyle pieces, but does not identify GMR as the company that physically struck them.
Chris Kyle Frog Foundation
Global Monetary Reserve collaborated with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation on an authorized series honoring U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. Announced on October 2, 2015, the program was scheduled for its initial release on Veterans Day, November 11, 2015, coinciding with the first anniversary of the Foundation.
The program included silver and copper rounds, bars, different finishes, and special packaging. Contemporary announcements state that a significant portion of proceeds benefited the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.
GMR branding and a © 2015 Global Monetary Reserve copyright appear on surviving certificates and packaging associated with the series.
Global Monetary Reserve Role
Available documentation supports Global Monetary Reserve’s role as the distributor and commercial marketer of the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation commemorative program. GMR announced the releases, offered the pieces for sale through GMRGold.com, established retail offerings and packaging options, and promoted the series in cooperation with the Foundation.
No documentation currently examined identifies Global Monetary Reserve as the physical manufacturer or mint of these pieces.
