Standard commercial bullion reverse featuring a laurel wreath with bow and the inscription: PURE SILVER, ONE TROY OUNCE, .999+ FINE SILVER, REAL MONEY FOR OVER 5,000 YEARS. This reverse is a stock design used by the mint and is not unique to Wright-Way.
1 oz Silver Round – Corporate Issue
Overview
The Wright-Way, corporate Solar Silver Round is a privately issued 1 troy ounce .999 fine silver bullion round. Wright-Way is a Tyler, Texas–based real estate, construction, and solar energy company owned by Rudy Wright. The round was introduced circa 2012 and remains in ongoing use as part of the company’s internal and promotional program.
Minting History
The round was originally struck by Regency Mint in Provo, Utah. Following the closure of Regency Mint, customer accounts and/or dies were transferred to SilverTowne Mint in Winchester, Indiana, which continued production. The reverse design reflects a standard mint-issued bullion template rather than a custom Wright-Way design.
Distribution and Use
The Wright-Way silver rounds were not produced for retail sale or traditional numismatic distribution. Instead, they were issued in bulk quantities for trade show giveaways, marketing promotions, and employee incentives. Reported by the issuer, rounds were produced in full “monster box” quantities during periods when silver traded near $12 per ounce, with entire boxes distributed at events.
Summary
The Wright-Way Solar Silver Round represents a modern example of corporate-issued bullion used as a branding and incentive tool. These rounds were distributed directly by the issuing company rather than through retail channels and reflect a targeted promotional strategy tied to Wright-Way’s focus on energy independence and self-reliant infrastructure.
