Royalty Coins (San Antonio TX)

Texas Stacker Approved Dealers — Personally vetted by Dan Arnold

Royalty Coins Overview

Royalty Coins San Antonio is a rare coin, bullion, and jewelry dealer on the San Antonio River Walk, three blocks from the Alamo. The shop has served San Antonio and South Texas collectors since 1977. It sits at street level in a curved limestone corner building on East Commerce Street, and the River Walk balcony below carries the name of R.H.H. Hugman, the architect who designed the River Walk itself.

Inside, the cases run deep: U.S. rare and commemorative coins, graded and raw pieces, sovereign and private-mint bullion, Mexican silver by the box, boxed sets like the Indian Tribal Series, and Texana you won’t find at a typical bullion counter. Jack has decades of Texas numismatic history behind the counter, and he’s generous with it.

Royalty Coins Dealer Notes

Royalty Coins was founded and owned by Jack Copeland. Mr Copeland passed away and the store is now operated by Richard and David – two of the most knowledgeable and friendly dealers in the State of Texas! In 1991, the shop issued its own one-ounce .999 fine silver round, the Texas Lone Star State round with a San Antonio Home of the Alamo reverse, struck by Silvertowne. They still hold the original sample strikes from that run, including the one-off rejected first obverse. A stop at Royalty Coins is a trip into San Antonio numismatic history as much as a coin shop visit.

Good to know before you go: many silver and gold bullion items are cash or check only, not charge or debit card. Anyone selling to the shop needs a driver’s license or Texas DPS ID and must be at least 18.
